Andrew M. Ramroop, OBE CMTT

Founder

Prof. Andrew Ramroop has been practising his craft at Maurice Sedwell on Savile Row for over 50 years. He is the founder of the Savile Row Bespoke Academy (SRBA™) and was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services as a trainer and Savile Row tailor. He also holds the title of Professor for Distinction in the Field of Tailoring, awarded by the University of the Arts London. He serves as an advisor to the President of the World Federation of Master Tailors. A.R.T.S is his way of making that level of teaching available to anyone, anywhere, who is serious enough to want it. PREMIUM students have direct, exclusive access to Prof. Ramroop for a weekly one-on-one session to review their work, correct their technique, and guide their progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need prior experience?

    For PREMIUM and VOLITION, no prior experience is needed. The programme takes you from the beginning. For Individual Modules, it depends on which you choose. Drafting and making bundles cover the full process for a specific garment. Making-only modules assume you already have the garment cut and require prior pattern drafting knowledge. For any module that involves construction, we recommend also enrolling in the Foundation and Hand Sewing Skills module — it covers the hand sewing techniques that underpin the making process and will significantly improve your results.

  • Can I learn at my own pace?

    Yes. There are no fixed class times. You access the content when it suits you. PREMIUM students have weekly one-on-one sessions with Prof. Ramroop, booked at a time that suits them using an online calendar.

  • Will I receive a certificate?

    Every student who completes a course receives a Certificate of Completion. PREMIUM students who meet the standard, achieving above 95%, additionally receive the A.R.T.S Certificate: a credential confirming mastery across all components of bespoke tailoring.
